“ Absolutely amazing food. The best pizza in the Bay Area. Nice atmosphere and great customer service. Thank you for the experience ”

“ I decided to try this place with my family. We went pretty early since we usually eat dinner early, so it wasn't busy at all. Our server was very friendly and checked in on us to see how we were doing and if the food was okay. Caesar Salad - The homemade croutons and fresh Parmesan made the salad even better. I actually went back to this dish the most out of everything we ordered. Bolognese - It wasn't too salty, didn't have a strong meaty smell, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. My mom usually avoids meat-based pasta, but this was the dish she kept going back to the most. It's not as heavy as you might expect based on the ingredients and the description on the menu. San Daniele Pizza - All the ingredients tasted fresh and straight out of the oven. I'm pretty picky about pizza dough texture, but they seemed to nail it. The combination of prosciutto, arugula, and a bit of shaved Parmesan on top of a perfectly chewy dough--neither too thick nor too thin--was amazing. You really can't go wrong with this combination. I wish we could've tried their desserts, but we were all too full. I'll definitely have to come back and try them soon. So far, this place is my family's favorite pizza spot in the area. We even shared our experience with our family friends and gifted them a gift card to try it out for one of their upcoming birthdays. By the way, they do offer gift cards, which is great if you want to treat someone to this place but can't join them yourself. ”
“ It's a very busy spot, and the servers were friendly and attentive. The calamari was decent, and the beet salad was flavorful but a little overdressed. The branzino was well-prepared, and the gnocchi was soft and pillowy with a solid sauce. There is no complimentary bread. They did charge us $4 for the bread. The ambiance is lovely, though it can get pretty noisy due to the close seating. The food came out quickly (not a bad thing), but it felt like they were trying to rush us out to make room for the next customers. You could probably find a similar quality Italian meal elsewhere for less. Overall, it was good but on the pricey side. I couldn't give it 5 stars because they added a health insurance surcharge to the bill, which was included in the subtotal, so it ended up being taxed. It felt odd to see it set up this way. I'm fine paying the surcharge, but the way it was handled on the bill felt off. ”
“ I had a chance to try Locanda Amalfi on a double date in downtown Pleasanton and this was a great experience! This is a cute Italian spot with good service and food of course. If you are looking for pasta, pizzas and an assortment of Italian delicacies this is a nice spot. For food we tried: * Foccacia bread with pesto - this was delicious, bread was yummy and went well with the sauce * truffle arancini: this was very yummy and came with a delicious truffle sauce. The arancini balls were nice and crispy with a cheesy tomatoey filling I really enjoyed * truffle gnocchi: this was yummy and soft and the truffle sauce was same as the arancini one - so pretty good and creamy. However, I liked it with the arancini more! * Pizza (got the one with prosciutto): this was pretty yummy and the husband really enjoyed this. It was pretty big and we took home some as well! *tiramisu: my favorite dessert, it was fresh and well made *raspberry cheesecake: this was creamy and had a nice tang Overall great experience, and really sweet as it was my husbands bday in a few days and they brought out a scoop of ice cream and sang happy birthday! I would recommend this spot - truly enjoyed my experience here! ”
“ ** DRINKS ONLY ** Martini Monday... My friend and I decided to end 2024 with a martini lunch in Pleasanton, specifically an espresso martini lunch. We checked out the Yelp reviews to narrow down our choices to three spots: Amalfi; Elia; and, Lokanta. Almafi was our first stop. The interior is nicely decorated and the place had a nice lunch crowd. We grabbed two seats at the (very small) bar and were greeted quickly. Our drinks came out a couple minutes later. The presentation was solid. A portion of the rim is dipped in chocolate and then pistachio. A nice surprise if you aren't allergic to either (it didn't state those items on the menu). There were 3 espresso beans, the only acceptable amount. The presentation definitely got us excited before we even tried it. The taste was on point, absolutely delicious. They pulled a fresh shot of espresso and added some baileys, which is not a traditional espresso martini. The baileys added a nice level of sweetness without a strong baileys flavor. Verdict: While the chocolate & pistachio rimmed glass and the baileys were not what we expected, this was definitely our top pick for the day. We kept comparing the others to it and it hours later it was still our top pick. We'll be back for more, two rounds next time ”
“ Amazing service! Prompt! Friendly! Amazing ambiance! Amazing fresh ingredients! Great drinks! Wow! So glad we walked in and lucked out on a table. The food took a handful of minutes, but it's because it was so fresh! Very worth the wait. ”
